What is yamashiro battleship?

Yamashiro was a battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy, built during World War I. Completed in 1917, Yamashiro was one of two Fusō-class dreadnought battleships. During World War II, Yamashiro was involved in several major battles, including the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944, where she was sunk by U.S. Navy forces. The sinking of Yamashiro marked the last battleship-to-battleship engagement in naval history. Yamashiro was heavily armored and capable of a top speed of 24.5 knots. She carried a total of twelve 356mm main guns in six double turrets, as well as numerous secondary and anti-aircraft guns. Despite her impressive armament, Yamashiro was ultimately outmatched by newer and more advanced U.S. Navy battleships.
